Discussion on political issues

Kathmandu, Dec. 10 (RSS): A discussion programme on contemporary political issues was organised at the NC Central Office Teku, Kathmanu in the presence of Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

NC General Secretary Sushil Koirala, Deputy Prime Minister Ramchandra Poudel, NC central working committee members, ministers and central office bearers of the NC sister organisations and other related organisations participated in the meeting.

At the same progranme, a programme formulation committee was constituted under the convenorship of General Secretary Sushil Koirala to give a new impetus to the campaign of restoring peace in the country by promoting the people’s awareness and maintaining coordination between the party and its sister organisations.

The members of the committee include chief of the Central Coordination Department MP Krishna Prasad Sitaula, CWC member and Mp Govinda Raj Joshi and central coordination department ex-chief and MP Dil Bahadur Gharti.

Other members of the Committee are the Nepal Tarun Dal president, the NSU
president, the Nepal Ex-Servicemen’s Association president, the president of Nepal Dalit Sangh, the president of Nepal Teachers Association, the president of Nepal University Teachers’ Association (democratic panel), the president of Legal Practitioners’ Democratic Panel, the president of Nepal Trade Union Congress, the president of Nepal Women’s Association and the president of Nepal Press Union.
