There
was so much of the scare of the millennium bug that everyone
with a computer was very worried as to what would happen. Many
computers were also quite at a loss as what to do if these computers
were bit by the bug. But so far nothing seems serious and
the computers are working as they should. This shows that unnecessary
propaganda can be quite dangerous. I hope that when warnings are issued
all the facts have to be taken into consideration and not create an
uproar which might have no basis at all. I think this will be a lesson
to all who speak of doom to whatever they can think of. It was just
terrible for me as a newspaper reader and a TV viewer to get
the three words Y2K hitting my brain all the time. I am now
relieved as must all the computer users here in Nepal. Krishna K.C. |
