Women Commission in offing: Koirala Kathmandu, July 7 (RSS): Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said that National Women Commission will be constituted as early as possible. Responding to verbal question posed by Shanta Manavi of the CPN-UML during the question hour at the National Assembly today, Prime Minister Koirala said that as the budget for the National Women Commission has already been earmarked, it would be constituted within the fiscal year 2057-58. Mr Koirala, furnishing replies to Bishweswara Dahal, also of the CPN-UML, said that HMG had effectively implemented the provisions of the Foreign Employment Act 2042 B.S. and the Foreign Employment Regulations-2056 B.S. so that the employment agencies did not resort to cheating people and action had been taken against those violating the provisions of the act and regulations or resorting to cheating. Replying to a supplementary question, Mr Koirala, recalling his talks with the countries concerned in connection with those going abroad for foreign employment and said that the concerned ambassadors have been mobilised so that the labourers abroad receive equal pay and compensation in case of accident. Replying to another supplementary question concerning Indian nationals going abroad on Nepali passport, the Prime Minister said the system of providing passports from districts will be regulated strictly so that Indians do not go abroad with Nepalese passports. Registration of thirty-two foreign employment companies resorting to cheating have been abrogated and eleven were being prosecuted while cases have been filed against seven in the courts, he said, adding that Rs 14,340,000 had been recovered from the companies resorting to cheating and handed over the victims. Relying to a question concerning recruitment in the Royal Nepal Army asked by MP Rishibabu Pariyar, Prime Minister Koirala said that there was no discrimination against anyone in selecting candidates for the Royal Nepalese Army. All the Nepalese joining the Royal Nepalese Army live in the same barracks and eat at the same place, he added. In response to a supplementary question, he said that though the law does not allow any caste discrimination, the discrimination being made in social sector might have had its impact on the administrative sector. "If parties of all the political spectrum make joint endeavour to banish this evil from the society, the discrimination in the administrative field will be removed automatically," he added.
