Kathmandu, July 7 (RSS): Minister of State for Education and Sports Dilendra Prasad Vadu has said that sound health and a sound mind have a great significance not only for personal life but also for the all round development of the nation. Speaking at a body building show organised by the Nepal Body Building Association here today on the occasion of the 30th auspicious birthday of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, he said the government is determined to incorporate sports at school level through the maximum utilisation of the means and resources available to the sports sector. He also gave away Asian standard licenses to 12 referees who participated in the body building event in the 8th SAF games and appreciation letters to 7 body builders at todays show. Founder of the Association Ramesh Khanal said the countrys image would be enhanced if comprehensive training was conducted for the sportsmen. Auspicious Birthday Civic Celebration Main Management Committee chairman Rajeshkaji Shrestha and association chairman Ghanshyam Mukhiya also expressed their views. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Education and Sports Dilendra Prasad Vadu has said that todays main challenge before the country is to produce competent manpower that can meet the national requirement. Inaugurating the 2nd national convention of the federation of private technical schools here today, he said if we were able to produce competent manpower it would help create employment opportunities as well as scale down the level of poverty. Vice chairman of the Technical and Vocational Training Centre Saroj Devkota said that the Federation is striving its best for preparing skilled manpower.
