Kathmandu, July 20 (RSS): His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev returned home this afternoon after undergoing annual medical check-up in London. Her Majesty Queen Aishwarya Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah and His Royal Highness Prince Nirajan Bir Bikram Shah also returned home with His Majesty. Their Majesties the King and Queen had left for London on July 1. Their Majesties were received by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev at the VIP lounge of the Tribhuvan International Airport. His Royal Highness Prince Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah was also present on the occasion. Their Majesties were also welcomed by Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on the occasion. Also present at the airport to receive Their Majesties were Chief Justice Keshav Prasad Upadhyaya, Speaker Taranath Ranabhat, National Assembly Chairman Dr. Mohammad Mohsin, Rajparishad Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Keshar Jung Rayamajhi, Deputy Prime Minister Ram Chandra Paudel, leader of the main opposition party Madhav Kumar Nepal, the ministers, British Charge D’affaires Andrew Michel and other distinguished persons.
