Air Safety

THE crash of a 25-year-old Twin Otter belonging to Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC) at Jadaithali Dharampani Hill at Jugbuda VDC of Dadeldhura district in far-west Nepal has again raised various questions regarding the safety of air services in this country with a difficult terrain and mountainous topography. The aircraft, flying from Chainpur of Bajhang district to Dhangadi in Kailali district, crashed just two minutes before it was expected to land, killing all 25 on board including an infant and three crew members.
