An Outrageous Scene

Traffic rules in the country are quite strict. The credit goes to our hardworking traffic policemen. However, I unfortunately came across some obnoxious act of a traffic policeman at Indrachwok a few days back. A taxi driver violating the traffic rule stopped his taxi to pick up his passenger there. As far as I perceived to stop taxi at the point was against the traffic rule. Suddenly a traffic cop rushed to the taxi, gripped driver’s hairs and pulled him out from the cab. He even gave the driver a couple of punches. All the while, the driver was trying hard to get away from the cop. Indeed, the whole scene was pathetic and outrageous. Certainly the driver was wrong. But the way he was punished can never be tolerated. The duty of the traffic policeman is to confiscate the driver’s license and punish him according to traffic rules, but not to beat him up cruelly.

I request the concerned police authorities to check the traffic cops from engaging in such outrageous activities in the streets of the capital city.
