NTC workers smell a rat in property sale Kathmandu, June l5 (RSS):Employees of Nepal Transport Corporation (NTC) have said that the corporation is conspiring to sell off land in the Trolley Bus office compound at lower than the price evaluated. According to a press communique, the Corporation has set up a land Registration and Sale Committee, but work had not been carried out in accordance with this. Five ropani of land owned by the Corporation is being sold at Rs 7,000,000 per ropani instead of the evaluated price or Rs 9,600,000, it is stated. The communique also points out that 9.5 tons of copper wire used for the trolley bus overhead line was stolen some three weeks ago and the management had tried to cover this up. It called for an impartial investigation. |
