Kirtipur Campus  Lacks Security

EVEN casual visitors to Tribhuvan University’s campus complex in Kirtipur can easily realise that any one can do damage to the public property there with no one to stop him or her. When the classes are over, there is no one around to look after the public property there. This negligence on the part of the concerned authorities just prove the saying — that everybody’s property is nobody’s property. If one happens to be there on a holiday, he will see people playing cards, competing in smashing windows by throwing stones from a distance or even singing obscene songs. The buildings there seem to have become safe havens for pickpockets who lift hand-bags and other valuables of those who visit there, especially for driving practice.

I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to provide necessary security arrangement to end the anomalies seen in this sacred temple of learning.
