March 28: Jiga
beat number one seed Okte Gurung by 135-127, 149-147 which was the biggest upset of the
Pre Quarter Final knock out round. Okte Gurung who bowled the best average of 175.7 was
not able to bowl at his average last surprisingly to Jiga, whose average is 144.8. Meanwhile,
Sonam Nepali beat Ale Gurung 140-104, 175-183 & 212-177, with Ale being unlucky in the
eighth frame of the third game, where he made a spare but was unable to control his body
and his right foot touched the foul line. Fourteenth
seed Kaancha upset third seed Karma Gurung in a tough battle of 155-148, 146-149 &
150-155. Karma
Ghale bowled exceptionally well scoring 223-185, 164-199 & 165-155 and beat Passang D
Lama. Sixth seed Bijay Shahi and eleventh seed Surjay was another upset where Bijay
knocked only two pins of the last frame of the deciding game to lose 125-166, 180-151
& 150-156. Tenth seed Chimmi Gurung beat seventh seeded Karna B. Gurung by 148-182,
143-126 & 189-146. Fifth seeded Dhondup P. Lama beat Kunsang Lama by 171-138 &
114-96. Ninth seed Passang Tsering beat eighth seed Tsewang in the most exciting game of
the day by 132-157, 138-137 and 160-159. Karma Ghale and Sonam
Nepali were the only two Bowlers to score above 200 points today. The Quarter Finals will
