Technology highlights in expo urged

Butwal, Nov. 21 (RSS): The advisory committee for the National Industrial Exhibition-2057 BS., concluded its meeting here Monday with valuable suggestions on how to make the exhibition a success.

Addressing the meeting, MP Surya Prasad Pradhan said modern technology should be one of the main highlights of the sixth exhibition to be organised by Rupandehi Industrial Association.

While noting that indigenous industries were upholding national prestige, he said it was necessary to maintain national standards and the exhibition, like in the past years, would be undoubtedly successful this time also.

District Development Committee vice chairman Ramchandra Dhakal pledged the District Development Committee’s full support for the National Industrial Exhibition.

Mayor of Butwal, Bhoj Prasad Shrestha, hoped that exhibition would be production-oriented and contribute to enhancing the glory of the town.

Ex-MP Rana Bahadur Shah said that even those with brave hearts would be moved to tears while talking of industries.

Industrial exhibition would play significant role at a time when the government was paying little attention to industries, he added.

Chairman of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arjun Man Sainju said Rupandehi Industrial Association and the chamber of commerce had no difference of opinion and would extend all-out support for the success of the exhibition.

Another speaker Prof. Ramlal Shrestha suggested that national level industries should be invited to take part in the exhibition.

Kamal Gyawali, D. S. P. Jagat Bahadur Bista, Kul Bahadur Bhari, Babu Ram Bhattarai, Dal Bahadur G. C. also gave their suggestions.

Joint co-ordinator of the association Paramananda Kharel, on behalf of the chief organising committee, delivered a welcome speech, while recent past chairman Shyam Bahadur Pathak proposed a vote of thanks.

Member secretary of the association Ajaya Man Shrestha presented a progress of the exhibition.
