His Majesty pays homage to goddess Durga Kathmandu, Oct. 4 (RSS): His Majesty the King paid homage to Goddess Durga Bhavani at the Dashainghar at Hanumandhoka on the occasion of "Phulpati" today. His Majesty was accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. According to the tradition, the Phulpati placed at Jamal after bringing it from Gorkha was escorted to Hanumandhoka Dashainghar today by a colourful procession. In the presence of Their Majesties the King and Queen and HRH the Crown Prince, the Phulpati was offered worship and sacrifice amidst religious recitals at Nasalchowk and Mulchowk of Hanumandhoka and then taken into the Dashainghar. A contingent of the Royal Nepal Army presented a Royal salute on the occasion. Other Story |
