It is indeed paradoxical that the people of the second rich estcountry in water resources in the world do not get adequate drinking water even during the peak monsoon season, not to mention the power generated from the available water resources. Worse is the condition of the Kathmandu Valley dwellers. It is not understandable what causes the drinking water to be so scarce in the three towns of the Valley even in the current rainy season. While we have been paying the water taxes in time every month, the question that could be put is how justifiable is it to subject the tax payers to the predicaments of not getting adequate drinking water?
