ANFA Vice President Shahi passes away BY A STAFF REPORTER Kathmandu, April 19: All Nepal Football Association Vice President Tika Ram Shahi passed away last night at New Delhi while undergoing treatment. Regarded as the efficient football manager in the country, Shahi was suffering from kidney and heart problems for the past few months and was taken to New Delhi last Tuesday for the treatment. Shahi during his stay at the National Sports Council and ANFA performed various tasks. He entered the National Sports Council in 1978 as the senior officer and remained there till 1992 and had supervised many AFC and FIFA soccer matches as match commisioner. He was currently the coordinator of Nepalese Youth Football Programme and particiapted in various football training programmes. He took part in all the national games as team managers and was from time to time attended meetings held by AFC, the Asian Football governing body. Other Story |
