Booters selected for 1st phase of training

Kathmandu, Aug 7: All Nepal Football Association appointed selection committee has selected 46 football players for the close camp for the upcoming 9th South Asian Federation Games to be held in Pakistan. The selected players are those who participated in the recently held 25th National Football Championship in Kathmandu.

Five regional teams and two clubs-one each from Nepal Police and Royal Nepal Army- had participated in the national games. The training for these players will get underway from Thursday. Out of 46 players, 25 will finally be selected for the SAF Games next month and they will also go another phase of training before leaving for Pakistan.

Those selected are: Bipin Singh Dhami, Lokendra Dev Chanda, Lalit Chand (all Far-Western), Deep Shrestha, Pradip Rana, Ritesh Khadka, Prahlad B.C., Jabar Ahmad (all Mid-Western Region), Janak Bista, Rajendra Tamang, Bishal Gauchan, Chandra Gurung, Bil Tamang, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Madhu Karki, Deependra Tamang (Western Region).

Prakash Ranamagar, Kedar Shrestha, Manoj Thapa, Mahendra Bishwas Khawas (Tribhuwan Club), Narayan Manadhar, Ramesh Gyanwali, Kailash Dangol, Ujjwal Manandhar, Aita Singh Tamang, Raj Kumar K.C., Jeevesh Pandey, Naresh Shrestha, Naresh Thapa, Janak Singh, Binod Khadgi, Lokesh Thapa (Central Region). Ananta Thapa, Sanjiv Joshi, Kishor Subba, Raju Katuwal and Ramesh Budathoki (Mahendra Police Club). Deependra Poudel, Surendra Tamang, Suraj Khaling, Hari Thakuri, Parbesh Katuwal, Bishwa Bandhu Pokhrel, Purna Subba, Anil Subba and Ritesh Thapa (Eastern Region).
