Trade link between Nepal, Poland stressed Kathmandu, Aug. 8 (RSS): Jan Krzysztof Mroziewicz, Ambassador of Poland to Nepal who is set to return home on completion of his tenure in Nepal held discussions with the representatives of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry on bilateral relations and trade between the two countries. During the meeting, Mr Mroziewicz pointed out that exchange of business delegations and information along with other extra efforts are needed to boost bilateral trade which is limited with items such as carpet, garments and handicraft. Poland has now adopted liberal economic policy in order to bring about ecnomic prosperity he said and expressed the confindence that tourists from Poland are keenly interesting in mountaineering, trekking and rafting in Nepal. He also gave assurance that he would extend cooperation at best in Nepals development endeavour. Chairman of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rajesh Kaji Shrestha commended the efforts made by Mr. Mroziewicz during his tenure for the expansion of bilateral trade between the countries and emphasised on the need for giving continuity in the exchange of business delegation and information to promote bilateral trade and joint investment. Apart from export potentials of Nepal such as carpet, garment, pashmina shawls and handicraft items, Nepal should make additional efforts to attract more and more tourists from Poland. |
