Participants discuss gender equality, justice in Biratnagar BY A STAFF REPORTER Biratnagar, Aug. 13: Forum for Protection of Public Interest organized an interaction programme on "Gender Equality and Justice" on the promotion of gender equality in the judicial process and national and international aspect of womens human rights. The programme, participated in by twenty-four judges and registrar, included Chief Justice Kedar Nath Upadhyay, Judges Kedar Prasad Giri, Laxman Prasad Aryal and former speaker of House of Representatives Daman Nath Dhungana as the resource persons. The interaction programme passed a 13-point resolution related to womens human rights which include education curriculum activities, gender equality and substantive equality, formulation of a national level programme for self-reliance and empowerment of women.
