Misleading News

We the concerned of Sunsari Morang Irrigation Project (SMIP) would like to draw your attention regarding the news published on 3 August reported by RSS "Rain turns hopes into a reality of cultivation paddy in Nepalgunj."

First of all we would like to make it clear that the small rivulets are not at all the source of SMIP. Secondly the arable command areas of this project alone are 68,000 ha which has nearly been already transplanted. The source of this system of KOSHI RIVER, which can never dry out. This kind of fictitious and confusing datas published in the newspaper shall mislead the general public and the concerned as well.
