Please, Extend Your Helping Hands In Our Green Mission

After a long misuse of the hill forest adjoining our village, the eyes of our villagers have finally opened due to our incessant efforts. We, a group of young boys, tried our best to persuade the stubborn rustics to preserve a few remaining trees. We taught them the importance of forest against their conservative concept about it. We were too young to know anything about this when our adults, now in their old age, haphazardly felled trees for everyday use, including building houses and firewood. Consequently, the hills, once green with thick forest that sheltered rare wildlife, converted into gloomy piles of red mud and rocks.

With our new venture, the greenery has been restored to these bare hills to some extent. We are doing whatever we can. We have made a routine to guard the forest against the intruders who steal away timbers under the cover of darkness. That, however, is inadequate, because we lack sufficient resources, despite the villagers’ participation, for new plantation as well as for the preservation of the old forest. Therefore, we would like to draw the concerned authority’s attention towards this. We would be more than happy if they extended their helping hand towards our green mission.
