'Chamber always ready to promote business’

Kathmandu, Aug 28 : A twenty-three-member delegation of Pyuthan Chamber of Commerce led by president Rajkumar Kachyapati visited Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and held talks with NCC officials.

NCC president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said the Chamber was always ready to promote Nepalese business as well as the traders. He informed about the activities of the Chamber adding it would promote the products from Pyuthan in the foreign market.

Showing concern over the decreasing number of tourists, Shrestha stressed on domestic tourism. He said Sworgadwari, religious site, could play a crucial role to promote domestic tourism.

"NCC will assist the Pyuthan Chamber to enhance its skill and provide full support to participate in international fairs," Shrestha said.

Pyutha Chamber president Kachyapati said they needed NCC’s assistance to promote economic and business activity and increase regular income.

On the occasion, the representatives from both sides talked about agriculture and it’s development, tax problem, the problem of transportation, and trade promotion.

Meanwhile, Rabi Bhakta Shrestha, president of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and industry (FNCCI) said that the talks between the government and the Maoists were essential to restore peace and security and develop the industrial sector. "FNCCI is ready to make efforts for the success of the talks," Shrestha told the delegation from Pyuthan Chamber.
