Discipline plays a vital role in every step of life. Man is a social being. He lives in the society and it is indispensable for him to obey the rules and regulations of the society. A man without discipline is considered as a ship without rudder. Discipline is a sort of training that forgoes personal interest for the advantage of the society. It is incumbent upon every man to become aware to the principles made by the society and must pay willingness to obey the laws. Discipline is found everywhere. All creatures living on the earth need to lead a disciplined life. Discipline ensures perfect harmony and its absence shows chaos and disorder. Discipline is significant both in personal life as it implies self-restraint and control. Those who do not exercise it fall a victim to many troubles and sufferings. Its observance provides guarantee to success and achievement of our cherished objective. Discipline is also essential for educational sector. It helps students to acquire knowledge and fills them with a spirit of patience and perseverance. It makes their life noble and leads them towards improvement. Discipline is most necessary in sports as well as in the army. A small, but well disciplined army will beat a large ill-disciplined army. True discipline comes from within. It is just like a rod to the wrong but a friend to guide well. It brings a qualitative power of self-sacrifice, control and confidence among all individuals. It suggests self-sacrifice, individual gains and interest for the welfare of all. Breach and violation of discipline ruins a person. But a strict disciplinarian is honoured everywhere and earn a good name for himself as well as for his family. Anyway, discipline must be maintained at all cost for a meaningful life.
