Mahayagya offerings rites organised Pokhara, Dec. 14 (RSS): Recital of the Srimad Bhagawat Mahapuran religious text and "Dhana Dhanayanchal" Mahayagya fire-offerings rites organised at ward no. 16 of Pokhara Sub-Metropolis concluded today. The religious sarificial offering was organised to collect proceeds for the construction of a new building of the Sri Panch Indra Rajyalaxmi Secondary School at ward no. 16, Lamachaur of Pokhara and for starting 10+2 classes at the school. It is learnt that proceeds totaling Rs 5,293,434 have been collected from the Mahayagya and Purana recital programme. Health Minister Sarad Singh Bhandari today felicitated and presented letters of commendation to various individuals providing assistance in organising the religious programme. On the occasion, Minister Bhandari said that educational development was possible only with the assistance and participation of the people. Minister Bhandari and his mother Mrs Indu Singh Bhandari provided a personal assistance of Rs 51,111 each to the school. Proprietor of Ekta Books Centre Ram Chandra Timothy is also learnt to have provided an assistance of Rs 625,000 for the school. Chairman of the school management committee Govinda Bahadur Khatri presided over the programme. |
