No Naked Wires Please !

There have been many incidents during which people talking over the telephone have met with death. There have been other times when monkeys on their usual round of jumping around have been electrocuted. Despite the sad news that gets repeated time and again, the Nepal Electricity Authority is still unmoved by the havoc being caused by naked electricity cables passing through poles in different parts of the city. This writer is a layman and is unsure whether the same practice is in vogue in the developed world. But it looks to reason that no authority would leave naked wires with hundreds of volts travelling through them. If only the authorities in Nepal, in that the NEA could cover the naked wires then people could rest assured of not meeting with unprecedented accidents.
