Go For Peaceful Protests

Strike has been a part of life for Kathmanduites. No one can be sure whether he will reach his office by bus or get a bus to return home from works, because strike can take place at any time. The other day, I failed to return home at New Baneshwore from my work at Balaju, because there was not any bus on the road due to the students’ rallies in the city. The same thing happened last week when the owners of the old mini-buses completely obstructed the road at Tinkune. In fact, there are other means which we can resort to while protesting against any decision. But we often choose strike or closure as if there were not any other ways. Can’t we think of peaceful means to make such protest so that the common people do not have to undergo several problems in the absence of vehicles on the road?
