Give Peace A Chance

Nepal used to be a peaceful country in the world but now what’s causing violence, corruption and insecurity now? When democracy was reestablished in the country, we didn’t think it would happen. All we wanted was freedom under a democratic system. But what are all these right now; Lauda scandal, Maoist-police clashes, the opposition party taking to the streets...?

I don’t know whether the political parties, both ruling and opposition, are responsible for it. But the main thing is that everybody wants peace no violence, no corruption. That’s all. Nobody cares about individuals. We just want our country back— a Nepal that is one of the most peaceful countries in the world.

For this all the concerned individuals and institutions all the political parties, leaders and people--should go hand in hand to enhance democracy in the country. Only under the true democratic system can we lead the country to the path of prosperity.
