Put Informative Articles On Internet

Being a regular reader of your daily while in Nepal and now in the US (often on the Internet, nepalnews.com), I love to start my day with giving a browse on The Rising Nepal. Recently it gave me a great feeling when a friend of mine who had flown from Nepal have me a copy of the Friday Supplement. It was a great thing for me to find an article on Nepali music there. As I have been doing my graduation in the Oriental music, I am always looking for authentic documents and materials on Nepali music. And the article The Making of Recorded Song by Mr. Arhan Sthapit was informative and could serve as an authentic document for me. When in Nepal I had the feeling that no author would write good articles on Nepali music. But, I found the above-mentioned one good indeed. As a music student, I would like to recall that I had gone through an elaborate article on music (perhaps in Himal monthly) when I was in Nepal during my short stay last fall. But, that Himal’s article concentrated upon only a limited number of singers and was unnecessarily biased against many senior ones. It had overly praised only one singer Narayan Gopal that I think is not fair. From this viewpoint also, the article by Mr. Sthapit is quite balanced and informative. Now I have two queries: one, why Mr. Sthapit’s article is not available in your homepage (nepalnews.com) on the Internet? Two, is Mr. Sthapit a foreign scholar doing some sort of research works in Nepali music? I would appreciate if you gave me his contact address that would help me a lot.
