Broadcast The Blows

No doubt, the recent incident in the House of Representatives is regrettable. The Nepalese people, who have very wisely given the Nepali Congress the mandate to form a majority government and let the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist and Leninist) be the strong Opposition Party in 1999 elections, have not even imagined that their representatives would exchange their blows in the House. But unfortunately they listened to the sombre news from the Radio and TV. The newspapers next morning gave a different and confusing colours to the unfortunate incidents. As a result, the common persons like me have been in a great confusion as to who the person was to use the muscle power first in the House.

I have heard that all the events of the House are video-taped. If it is true, then cannot the NTV broadcast the incidents? In fact, every citizen in a democracy has the right to know the facts from the media and a Nepali cannot be an exception.
