Danish Embassy hands over football materials for teams BY A STAFF REPORTER Kathmandu, Feb. 25: The Danish Embassy handed football materials for the teams participating under the All Nepal Football Association run Age Group Football Training Programmes. The Charge dAffairs of the Royal Danish Embassy, Lars Hoermann, handed over the football materials to the seven different teams that are participating in the training programme run by ANFA in Kathmandu. The materials include balls (280 pieces), Jerseys (560) wipes (560 pieces) shorts (560 pieces) goalposts (14) pumps (7) and cones (168 pieces). During the handing over ceremony held at ANFA complex at Satdobato, Lalitpur, Charge dAffaires Hoermann said that education and cooperation can make effective progress in the development of the Nepalese football. Moreover, good techniques and good humors among players and other officials can give better results. Hoermann stressed the Danish Embassy in Nepal will continue to provide assistance to improve the football standard by giving helps to such Age Group Programmes. In the programme, ANFA vice president Tika Ram Shahi said that ANFA is willing to launch its Age Group Training Programme to all over the country. He said that ANFA needs the help from sponsors to expedite its training programme nationwide. Likewise the general secretary of ANFA, Kumar Thapa said the limited resource had hindered the effective launching of the football programmes. Thapa expressed his gratitude towards the Danish Embassy for assisting in running the Age Group Training Programme in which seven clubs participated and which started one and half months ago with the help of the Dannish aid. The Secretary of the association, Rajiv Poudel said ANFA is mulling to run such Age Training Programme for one year long. He thanked Danish embassy for giving assistance to run this winter coaching programme. During the programme, the children below 14 year of the participating clubs, RCT, Naxal, Bhaktapur, Jawalakhel, Sankata, Galaxian and Bal Mandir, performed football games and skills. Other Stories |
