Training on poverty alleviation workers held

Biratnagar, Jan. 18 (RSS): Morang CDO Binod Gyawali inaugurated an orientation training for the office bearers of the groups organised here recently by the ‘Bisweswor with the Poor Programme’ District Level Coordination and Follow-up Committee, Morang.

Altogether 40 persons including chairman, secretary, treasurer and members of each of the four groups from the Constituency No. 5 and 7 participated in the training.

Speaking on the occasion CDO Gyawali urged all to assist in the poverty alleviation where as chief controller of the Agriculture Development Bank Supervision and Control Office Biratnagar Krishna Bahadur Kunwar shed light on the objectives of the programme.

Also speaking on the occasion were NC Morang district member Shyam Raj Upadhya, CPN- ML’s Ghanashyam Bhattarai and Narendra Humagain of the Nepal Peasants and Workers Party.

At the function presided over by ‘Bisweswor with the Poor’ Programme Coordination and Follow-up Committee Morang chairman Bharat Mani Sitaula, branch manager Bishnu Prasad Gautam said the programme has a target to make 17.1 per cent literate from extremely poor popualtion.
