Egyptian envoy opens exhibit

Kathmandu, Mar. 16: Ambassador of Egypt Elsayed A. Hussien opened today the painting exhibition of Govinda Prasad Sah ‘Azad’ at the gallery of Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal.

The week-long exhibition, has 44 paintings, entitled The Kingdom of Colours, done in oil and acrylic. Out of them 33 paintings were done during the artist’s 20 days trek to the Everest region in October/November of last year. This is Sah’s 14th solo painting exhibition.

Sah, who specialises in landscaping and realistic paintings, says his painting portrays the nature and the culture of the people of the Nepal. Sah is currenly doing his Bachelors in Fine Arts at the Fine Arts Campus of Tribhuvan University. The paintings are priced between Rs. 7001 to Rs. 25001.
