Let My Nepal Be Wellknown

We underwent several twists and turns in the past and are entering a highly technological era. But we have nothing to be proud of in this field. All we can say about Nepal is that it is the land of Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world. As I am a student studying aboard I have to face many difficulties related to my national identity. People ask me, "where are ya from?" When I say "Nepal," then they would ask me again, "Where’s that actually?" Even some say, "Isn’t it an Indian territory?" This makes my blood boil, but I cannot do anything, so I feel so much frustated. We need to do various of things to bring our country forward in the international arena. The leadership in our country should, therefore, take serious action against those causing corruption and delay in the development works. So dear editor, please convey the message via your newspaper so that they can feel the guilt and start the task of nation building right away. This will earn Nepal international recognition as a peaceful country, not as one infested with violence and corruption.
