Ria, Thapa Share Lead BY A STAFF REPORTER Kathmandu, May 4: The 4th Soaltee Challenge Golf Trophy started in the Royal Nepal Golf Course today. This two-day tournament shall features 95 Golfers from Nepal and from amongst expatriates based in Kathmandu. Inspite, of the early morning drizzle 35 golfers started the proceedings at 7 a.m.. The wet condition of the course did present some difficult golfing conditions, however, the mild temperature and sun peaking through the clouds brought about some sign of relief amongst the players after nine in the morning. In the leader board today, Mani Rai from Dharan shares the number one spot with K B Thapa with 65 shots with two under par, however, due to the superior performance of Mani Rai in the last nine hole technical leader is Mani Rai. Dorje Sherpa is in third place with one under par with a score of 66. In the ladies section, Mrs Rupy Singh is leading with a score of 5 over per with a score of 72. In the super senior section, KJ Baral and M P Kesavan also participated and completed the nine-hole action. |
