Their Majesties offer worship to Navadurga Bhawani Bhaktapur, Oct. 31 (RSS): His Majesty King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev offered worship to Goddess Navadurga Bhavani at the Navadurga temple at Ward No. 3 Gachhen Tole of Bhaktapur Municipality and received prasad and tika today on the occasion of Kojagrat Poornima, the concluding day of Vijaya Dashami. Her Majesty Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Paras Bir Bikram Shah Dev also worshipped Navadurga Bhavani and received prasad and tika on the occasion. Likewise, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Himani Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah and Her Royal Highness Princess Prerana Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah performed worship at the temple and received tika and prasad. On the occasion, His Majesty the King was presented with a report on the reconstructrion and rennovation of the Navadurga temple by Navadurga Bhavani Dyochhen Rehabilitation Committee Chairman and DDC chairman Govinda Duwal. Earlier, upon arrival at the temple premises Their Majesties the King and Queen, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess and Her Royal Highness the Princess were welcomed by MP Lekhnath Neupane, ex-minister Aishworya Lal Pradhananga, Mayor of Bhaktapur Prem Suwal and office bearers of the Temple Rehabilitation Committee and Bhaktapur Municipality. Also today, Their Majesties the King and Queen visited the Taleju Bhavani temple at Bhaktapur Durbar Square and received the tika and jamara of Taleju Bhavani. At the temple premises Their Majesties inspected with keen interest photographs and graphics on the renovation of the temple. Their Majesties also visited the Mul Chowk of Taleju Bhavani temple, Bhairav Chowk, Nag Pokhari, Kumari Chowk, Bhandarkhal Pokhari and Bhandarkhal Chowk. Other Stories |
