United NC will defeat violence, says Gachchhadar

Itahari, Nov.20 (RSS): NC central member and Minister for Water Resources Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar has said if Nepali Congress workers become united, the present violent Maoist activity will itself be defeated and no one can make an assault on Constitutional Monarchy and multi-party democracy.

Speaking at a gathering organised by the NC town committee Itahari today, Gachchhadar said as differences between the senior leaders of the party have caused chasms betwen the workers, the leaders themselves should take initiatives for forging party unity.

Leaders themselves are responsible for the rise in anomalies and distortions and corruption and if they admit such things heartily, it will pave the way for resolving most of the problems facing the country, he added.

Minister of State for Agriculture and Cooperatives Laxman Prasad Mehta expressed the view that the people themselves have rejected the Maoists.

Various other speakers including NC Sunsari member Ambar Bahadur Gauli also spoke at the function chaired by committee chairman Keshav Sitaula.
