Workshop on review of industrial policy

Nepalgunj (RSS): A regional workshop on the review of Industrial Policy-2049 was organised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies recently.

The workshop aims at holding discussions on the positive and negative impact of the present industrial policy on boosting the industrial and trading sectors and providing suggestions.

At the beginning of the workshop, joint secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Govinda Prasad Kusum said that the workshop would be instrumental for seeking solutions to the problems arising in the implementation of the industrial policy through suggestions from the industrialists and businessmen.

Programme officer at small industry promotion programme Navin Dahal noted that the programme is focused on the advancement of the industrial sector in the country.

The representatives from industries, business houses and financial institutions took part in the workshop.

Such workshops have already been held in Birgunj, Hetauda and Biratnagar.
