Rotary Club’s role in development lauded

Kathmandu, Nov. 25: One Hundred Ninety-eight dental patients had taken dental service on cleaning, filling teeth and oral hygiene in one-day dental camp that was organized at the premises of Sitala High School on November 24.

The camp was organized through the joint cooperation of the Balaju Rotary Club and the National Dental Hospital with 8 dentist and 5 assistants.

Ram Chandra Poudyal, Former Deputy Prime Minister, was the chief guest at the camp.

In the inaugurating speech he told that the works that are being done by Rotary Club is not only for the development of humanity but also in avoiding illiteracy, social discrimination and backwardness.

In his welcome speech, Jagadish Bhakta Mathema, President of the Club, who also chaired the camp, said that the club has been highly appreciated world wide for its social work.

Similarly,Dr. Shree Prashanta Shrestha, Founder of National Dental Hospital and Rupa Rana, Director-Community Service of club highlighted the objectives of the camp while Kedar Pradhan, Member of Club convened the formal ceremony, Rupa Rana gave a vote of thanks and the teachers and students of the school had volunteered in the preparatory and in running camp.
