Nepali Web Site
We have recently
developed a new Nepali web site with complete language option for Nepali and English. This
site is http://www.bigyapan4u.com. Viewers can choose any either Nepali or English. As far
as we are concerned, this will be the first site with complete Nepali Language option. We
have been viewing different web pages with other language options like English with Dutch
or English with Japanese language. But in this site you will get a chance to choose
between Nepali and English and can view the web pages in the chosen language. The most
interesting thing about this site is that, you don’t even need to install Nepali
fonts to view this web site in Nepali. We have used new technology of embedding fonts in
the web page itself, in the way we use images. Font automatically downloads as image does
and starts to function. This will also be the first time that any Nepali site is using
such technology. As this is the time of technology, we have to be in touch with newer
technologies. And this will be just one example of a better use of our Nepali Language on
the net. It will be much more interesting and much more attractive if any Nepali living
outside Nepal can view the web site in Nepali but he/she doesn’t have to install any
fonts. This will be a great achievement if we can implement in other Nepali sites too. We
would be happy if we can do something for the promotion of our language. I would be also
happy if you can prepare an article on this topic on IT section of your newspaper and let
the people make aware of the use of Nepali language on the net, and inspire in the
research and development of Nepali Language.
