I am a regular reader of your esteemed English daily. I have been subscribing it for the last six months thinking that TRN still has that degree of quality as it used to have a few years ago. But all my views about your daily turn sour when I go through the pages. Is TRN really losing its quality of news reports, articles and editorials? No wonder there are so many questions being raised about the matter being published in your newspaper. Well, its not only a matter of colour or quality paper; I have more reservations about the write-ups that get printed in your daily. Could anybody convince me as to why I should continue my subscription? Perhaps you do not have any answer to my queries. Not only TRN, there are other English dailies, which are no better than this. But being a subscriber of TRN, Im really concerned about it and want some changes in it. Cant TRN take an initiative to print good articles by scholars and experts on different fields of knowledge? Cant you produce editorials on contemporary/international issues without any flaws? And what about your news reports? Being an official paper, I know your constraints too. But I think nobody has put any pressure to work for better results. What a pity! I just cant understand why TRN is giving space to so called authors, who dont have the basic knowledge about what they are writing and why is it giving space to stuff which cannot be considered news. Cant you make any efforts for betterment? If you are ready and committed to improve your paper, you can still have thousands of subscribers; we are still with you. But the most important thing is that signs of improvement should be reflected in your newspaper. And improve your distribution system as well. Pallavi Pandey |
