Mechanism To Monitor Poverty Essential

Though relentless efforts have been made to poverty, it has been a major problem in many South Asian countries due to lack of proper monitoring system and effective mechanism. Nepal, according to experts, has not been exception to this. Poverty in fact has now been a sole challenge facing the country. There is a necessity of devising proper system and effective mechanism to address the social evil. Since poverty has been our major challenge, proper mechanism should always be developed to reduce poverty. The concerned authority should lay prime emphasis on poverty reduction in the upcoming five-year plans. Besides, they should also focus on various safety nets and good-governance to tackle the problem by giving priority on capacity enhancement. There is a strong need to institutionalise mechanism to monitor poverty in an effective manner and to initiate uniform method, which could bring out credible data.
