Focus On Manpower Development! Nepal is known all over the world for Mount Everest, and as the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and for numerous temples of gods and goddesses, including the Pashupati temple. The rich cultural heritage attracts tourist from across the globe. People come here to have peace of mind with the panoramic views of the majestic mountains and sparkling rivers. But making Nepal known only as a tourist destination will leave us far behind in the other fields. We need to have skilled human resources for the all round development of the country that has been listed as one of the least developed countries in the world. Therefore, attempts should be made to introduce Nepal as a country of qualified and skilled professionals too. And for this we need to establish various institutions to train our people inside the country. Once we are rich in skilled human resources, we will be able to maximally mobilise the country’s natural resources for infrastructure development. Dr. Suman Kumar Regmi, |
