Father, son’s marriage

BY OUR CORRESPONDENT

Phidim (Panchathar), Sept. 28:Locals of Prangbung Village Development Committee (VDC) were astonished at a man and his son bringing wives through love marriage on the same day.

Tek Bahadur Myangam, 40, and his 20-year-old son Kul Bahadur Magar married Phulmaya Rai, 19, and Kamala Subba, 16, respectively.

Tek Bahadur’s father Chabilal, 68, and mother Sanchamaya, 64, however, accepted their daughter-in-law and grand daughter-in-law by offering tikas to the newly married couples.

Tek Bahadur had begun to love Phulmaya after his wife Naramaya Magar died about four years ago. A lot of locals had gathered at the home of Tek Bahadur to see the two couples.
