The news that the Maoist terrorists have been destroying hydropower installations in different parts of the country is quite shocking. What one fails to understand is who is the ultimate loser in this game of terror. Obviously, the country will suffer in the long run if the development infrastructure is ruined one after another. A lot of money and manpower has gone into building the infrastructure without which the country would not be able to progress. More shocking was the news about the cutting down of water pipes that supplied water to the denizens of Okhaldhunga. This is a heinous crime, which cannot be pardoned. It is high time the citizens across the nation joined hands to fight the evil forces attempting to destabilise the society. Suman Ghimire |
