By A Staff Reporter

Kathmandu, April 10: FIFA instructor Holgar Obermann presented jerseys and footballs to the Bhaktapur Soccer Training Centre here today.

Obermann, the former head of the Youth Football Development Programme, was happy to visit the training centre started by him four years ago. He arrived in the capital a week ago.

"I am happy to see the players training hard at the centre," Obermann said before giving soccer gears to the Chief of the centre Milan Hada. The centre has 16 players under the age of 16 years, 35 under the age of 14 years. It has also twenty girl soccer trainees.

Senior Nepalese soccer coach Dhan Bahadur Basnet said that he was a bit unhappy to see that the youth soccer programme at the centre had not been able to achieve those desired results.

Hada said that nobody in the nation know more about the Nepalese soccer than the FIFA instructor. Bhaktapur Sports Development Committee President Narendra Bhuju and Bhaktapur Multiple Campus Chief Narayan Prasad Napit shed light on the contributions of Obermann to the Nepalese soccer.

Zen. B. Obermann, from Germany’s ZDF Television, has also arrived at the centre to shoot a 10-minute film on Nepalese youth football.
