Jute bags exhibition

Kathmandu (RSS): Minister of State for Water Resources Narayan Sharma Poudel, initiating an exhibition of bags made of jute in substitution of plastic bags organised by Tomorrow’s Nepal, a non-governmental organisation here the other day, stressed that appropriate programmes should be introduced to get used to jute bags in the days ahead.

With the production of jute bags, environment degradation can be checked and unemployment problem solved to a great extent, he added.

On the occasion, Poudel felicitated senior artists Indira Shrestha, Ram Sharan Darnal, Hariman Shrestha, Narayan Devi Pradhan and Narayan Rayamajhi in recognition of their valuable contribution to the preservation and the promotion of classical music, folklore and dance.
