Begging Children

While stroling around the New Road area, I often encounter peculiar scenes which shock the onlookers. Among them are kids carrying even younger and begging. There are women with babies on their laps and begging for alms. What a pity! No one is doing anything to help the poor kids on the streets.

I have heard that a number of organisations, NGOs and public, who claim they work for the welfare of the helpless kids are active in the country. But the scenes that I encounter at New Road and elsewhere in the capital city everyday clearly say they are either boasting or they are incapable in their functioning. Otherwise they would not have left those children on the busy streets.
