The SLC examinations of 2058 were held about a month back and it will take at least two more months for the Examination Controllers Office to publish the results. But, surprisingly some of the 10 plus two private schools of the capital have already started provisionally admitting the students, who sat for the recent SLC examinations, in class 11. Maybe the mushrooming private colleges are doing so because they want to admit more and more talented students in their institutions, but they are challenging the existing laws and rules. It is against rules to admit any student in the higher classes unless they have passed the lower level examinations. Hence, to get admission in class 11, one has to submit the certificates of the SLC examinations. But these colleges are violating the general rules and the concerned authorities are doing nothing to discourage them from admitting the students in advance. Niraj Thapaliya |
