Work Towards Child Welfare

Despite several child-related activities being carried out by the government, international donor agencies and local NGOs, a large number children are still forced to live a very pathetic life. Each year, a huge amount of money is spent for the 'welfare' of children. But everyone knows that the children's condition has not improved. The number of hungry an illiterate children has been going up every other day. Those who have been involved in the children's development also have to realise this fact and try to review the child-related programmes. Any way, some rays of hope have appeared as the member states of SAARC have joined hands to work for the welfare of children in this region.
