Govt constitutes three task forces RSS KATHMANDU, Dec. 19: His Majesty's Government has constituted three different task force under the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare. A three member task force has been constituted under the convenorship of Dr. Mohan Man Sainju for the consolidation of institutional capacity building of the Social Welfare Council. The other members of the committee are Gauri Pradhan and
under secretary of the Ministry Ritu Raj Bhandari. Likewise, a seven member task force has been formed under the convenorship of Gauri Pradhan to formulate and present to His Majesty's Government a report on ten year long policy for children in accordance with the declaration endorsed by the second special conference of the United Nations General Assembly on Children held in its headquarters in May. The task force is represented by Upendra Keshari Neupane, chairman of the Federation of the Non Governmental Organisation on Children, central members of the Nepal Child Welfare Committee Sharad Sharma and Manorama Rana, under secretary of the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare Kiran Raj Sharma and officer representative of the National Planning Commissio. Executive director of the Central Child Welfare Committee Dipak Raj Sapkota is the member secretary of the task force. The task force will submit a report within two months. Likewise, a five member task force has been constituted under the convenorship of executive director of the Central Child Welfare Committee Dipak Raj Sapkota to present a report on maintaining minimum standards in the services and facilities in child welfare centre and child orphanage. Other members of the task force are chairman of the Federation of the Non Governmental Organisations on Child Upendra Keshari Neupane, Sharad Sharma of Central Child Welfare Centre, representative of the National Planning Commission and under secretary of the Ministry Kiran Raj Sharma. The task force will prepare a minimum standards on the issues, present recommendations in accordance with the concept of the Child Act 2048 and Regulation 2051. According to the Ministry the task force will observe and study the services of various child welfare homes and present a report within 15 days keeping in view various aspects including the uniformity, organisational, procedural and psychological aspects. The task force were formed in accordance with the ministerial level decision on various dates, the ministry said. Other Stories |
