Kathmandus Filth Back To Square One Everyone knew this would surely happen again; no one would be able to prevent Kathmandu from becoming gradually dirtier. The capital city, which was hastily decorated in a preparation for the recently concluded 11th SAARC Summit, is once again returning to its past condition. They created and reformed different gardens and traffic islands and blacktopped different roads smoothening the vehicular movement. But now the dust and filth have reappeared everywhere much to the woes of the pedestrians and riders. It seems that the city might not remain neat and clean as everyone concerned want it should. The light rain in the past few days has made almost all the roads muddy. Although the city authority seems to be collecting garbage and litter from various parts of the city for disposal, one can see piles of garbage at certain points. Therefore, the concerned body should launch some programmes to create awareness among the city dwellers about the negative impacts the haphazardly dumped garbage can have on public health.
