Khadka demolish NYM with nine goals

Kathmandu, Feb 15: Hari Khadka slammed triple hat-tricks in the Mahendra Police Club’s 13-0 annihilation of Naxal Yuva Mandal (NYM) in today’s King’s Cup Soccer tournament. The gigantic victory earned the police team a semifinal berth in the tournament.

The NYM could not withstand the favourites MPC harrowing pressures from the very beginning as striker Khadka ran amok to hammer nine goals—three in the first half and six in the second. Fellow striker Ramesh Budathoki chipped in with his individaul hat-trick to pile up the NYM agony.

In the first half, Khadka scored in the 13th, 23rd, and 31st minute while Budathoki added two goals in 11th and 32nd minute.

With the start of the second half, MPC attack proved more lethal with Khadka-Budathoki combination raided NYM bastion at their will.

Khadka completed his second hat-trick in the 49th, 58th, and 69th minute while he fetched his third in the 79th, 80th and 85th minute. Budathoki added his third goal in the 71st minute. Ananta Thapa also contributed with one goal in the 75th.

Meanwhile in the day’s first game, the ANFA Academy beat Sankata Boys Sports Club 3-1 to sail into the quarterfinal of the tournament. For ANFA Academy, Pravin Manandhar, Deepak Khawash and Suagat Subba scored in 54th, 74th and 83rd minute. Salyan Khadki lowered the margin for the Sanakta in the 89th minute.

The Kathmandu Club will take on Three Star in tomorrow’s quarterfinal match.
